Description
Fusion’s Electrofusion Tapping Saddles with Underclamp are PE100 fittings engineered for secure, efficient branch connections on gas, water, mining, and irrigation pipe mains. Designed for both live and dead mains, these tapping saddles are manufactured from virgin PE100 black polyethylene to ensure durability and safety in demanding operational environments.
Manufactured to withstand pressures of PN16 for water and 10bar for gas, these saddles carry gas ratings of 5.5bar (Class B) and 7bar (Class C), subject to size and outlet. They operate within a temperature range of -10°C to +40°C, which also applies to the welding process with Fusamatic electrofusion systems. The 4mm Fusamatic automatic pin provides fully automatic control of welding parameters, while manual settings are clearly moulded into the fitting body for installer reference.
Each fitting is individually numbered with permanently marked batch numbers and is traceable via barcodes and QR codes in accordance with ISO 12176-4 and welding barcode standards ISO 13950. The rising pin fusion indicator allows for easy monitoring of the fusion process during installation. The tamper-proof LockCap ensures correct assembly every time, while double O-ring seals provide reliable, leak-resistant connections. The toggle-clamp underpart snaps securely into place, minimizing installation time and eliminating the need for specialist tooling. The design features a double spigot outlet for additional connectivity options.
